Strat-O-Matic Report
Tim Wakefield is having better luck with me and is actually getting wins for pitching good. Wake pitches his 2nd shutout of the season and lowers his ERA to 3.39 as the Sox beat the Braves. Also, I was wrong in the previous Phillies blog about Miguel Tejada. He has a 29 (now 30) game hitting streak which I believe is the longest hitting streak that I have had in the three years of SOM on the computer.

Tim Wakefield came through with a solid 9 innings as the Boston Red Sox topped
the Atlanta Braves by a score of 5 to 0 at Fenway Park.
Wakefield(4-2) was simply too much for the Atlanta batters. He didn't allow
much, just 6 hits and no walks in 9 innings reducing his ERA from 3.95 to
3.39. The pitchers took over after the 3rd inning as neither team was able
to score again.
The loss was charged to Kyle Davies(0-1). He allowed 8 hits and 2 walks in 2
and 2/3 innings. 'All of my pitches were working tonight,' Wakefield said.
'I felt really good out there, and heck, I think I could have gone longer.'
