I accidently hit end game before I blogged this and had to go into the saved box scores to get it - that's why the play account is with it. Oops.
Nice outing for Brett Myers, who strikes out 12. He had a shutout going until Andruw Jones hit a 2-run homer in the 9th, when Urbina came in to get the save. Nice having both Urbina and Wagner now, as either one of them can nail down the save. The back and forth battle with the Marlins for the division lead continues, as the Phils go again 1/2 game ahead.

Brett Myers reeled off a total of 12 strikeouts at Citizen's Bank Park as the
Philadelphia Phillies beat the Atlanta Braves by the count of 4 to
2.
Myers(10-3) was in control of the game from the outset. He gave up just 5
hits and 1 walk in 8 and 1/3 innings. Atlanta made it exciting in the 9th,
but they were unable to push the needed runs across.
Ugueth Urbina got the save, his 4th. Horacio Ramirez(7-5) suffered the loss.
Charlie Manual was asked about the performance of Myers, 'He had his good
stuff out there this afternoon. The fans really get into it when the
strikeouts start mounting up - and that seems to give him even more
adrenalin.'
